Merch Design: "Big Brains Love Big Bows"

A shirt design for a client. I thought to do something reminiscent of Fileteado for the composition. The spec I was given to work with:

Text: Big brains love big bows
Details: "For this I’d imagined a girl (head and neck) with a cheer bow high atop her head (http://cheerbowsbyeva.com/images/0.jpg), a long ponytail, and trendy glasses. I would like her lips, eyes and bow to be bright pink. The outline of the girl should be black, along with her basic features (ears, nose, eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes and her mouth- with a slight smirk)"

This piece features hand lettering for the typography and was done entirely in watercolors. It was then digitized, with the background removed so that it could be used for print on t-shirts and other promo merch.
